The Transition of Energies in the Community Space
Consider the energies in the various spaces, they can be seen as flowing into one another

The intimate flows into the straightforward
And for example straightforward energy borders upon proper energy,
The Distance between Energies in the Community Space
Assigning numbers to the “clock face” means that the distance between them can be seen.
For example, consider an art gallery and the routine action of a bank, they might seem worlds apart but from a community presence they are “close” [1] together in terms of their space numbers

They are close because they both represent a similar social-like energy and presence in the community,
Now, consider a music concert and an art gallery,

The numbers on the clock face can be refined by including the energy in the Outdoors though also the energy in the domestic space.
This means that the domestic space may further define the positions within the Space Clock, to 24 positions.
Description of the Spaces Clock
The Spaces Clock looks at the totality of all the spaces described within the spaces model and presents these spaces as a circular rotation of energy in space. It begins with the broadest view being the energy within the community, as 4 positions and then drills down to show that within each Community Energy position there may be a further 3 outdoor positions (making a total of 12 positions describing the community and outdoor energy.) For example, a Church is “Social in the Community” then within this energy in community space a church could be described as “Proper in the outdoor space.” Therefore in describing this position there is 2 energies and 2 spaces defined, it combines 2 spaces and each has different energies. The clock is the total range of the community space, presented in a circular flow manner, and punctuated with the definition from the outdoor space
It can be seen that outdoor space is subordinated to, or ordered within the community space. Outdoor energy is best seen in the context first of its community space, so as to place the outdoor energy within the broadest context. The model portrays the space and energy first from the community perspective. The community perspective is used, because it allows the broadest view and allows the change of energy within the community space to be seen and the types of roles the energy suits.
Finally, the domestic energy can be considered. Two types of energy are already defined (in the community and the outdoors) leaving a choice of 2 energies for the domestic space (and from the sole energy type remaining defines also the energy within the essence space). For example, the church might be straightforward within the conduct and behaviour within the Church, and the sole remaining energy is the intimate that belongs to the essence space inspired from the Church.

The small black type represents the Outdoor Energy
The red print represents the Domestic Energy
This means that the domestic space may further define the positions within the Space Clock, to 24 positions.
There are 12 positions in the Spaces Model, 4 Community presentations, each comprised of 3 Outdoor roles. So there are 12 positions (4 groups of 3, these 12 are further divided into halves for the domestic spaces possible.)
Space Numbers refer to the distance apart from two position on the Space Clock, and various positions have a different "feel".
These may be compared to the 12 positions on a clock (with half positions) and hence there is a "distance" between any 2 positions.
Descriptions of the Space Numbers
0
Innate and intuitive understanding without so much having to be said. Like relaying information across an antenna
0.5
Like family. Very close, almost like you know one another … almost too familiar, could lead to contempt.
1
"Like two ants knowing where the cream bun is"
1.5
Energy is a bit too full-on, starting to become a problem. People would have to duck and weave a bit (e.g. one going up, other going down).
2
2.51.5
Energy is a bit too full-on, starting to become a problem. People would have to duck and weave a bit (e.g. one going up, other going down).
2
Power is a major issue in the relationship, almost out of control
Understand the other person instinctively, but without some grounding/understanding, nothing will happen
Full throttle energy, can be highly productive if grounded
Clear that you have a lot of the same … high energy.
Could be grounded by a common project or denominator.
A bit closer than 3, more energy developing. Because of that there’s more focus on working together, almost a hint of imbalance. Too much of the same.
3-
Works best with an element of personal trust
Spread out possibilities
Best with a platform, in order to confine the possibilities
Never ending train, need jump of the back of it
The widest gap between two people, while still being fully committed together
All the energy transaction is between themselves
Broad enough to look after anything, can be quite powerful when its going well
Leisurely pace, inherently unstable, but nowhere to unstabilise to
Tend not to put much energy into it
Confederacy, both instinctively in the same neighbourhood and on the same team
Instinctual familiarity, but not intimate
3.5
Rollercoaster like endless possibilities... A Splurge of energy.
Hint of closeness, like a few strands are linking into a more personal arena, more trust and confederacy. At 3 there is a real confederacy, on the same team … only a hint of that at 3.5.
4
Like paying your cards
Good representation of different skills working together
Good business relationship
Grants a lot of independence and autonomy
When the 4 energy is not respected it probably indicates an unhealthy outlook
So real
Not underestimated
Like two rooks on a chessboard
Cool detached knowing
Evolution rather than rapid change
‘Waiting for the other shoe to drop’
A bit like 4, in the sense of having insight into what they’re doing, but like 5 in that there is more suspicion and distance. Less trust; colder than the 4 relationship.
5
5.5
Egalitarian kind of relationship
Tolerant of each other’s differences
Independent of each other
Functional, organized
Very different, pragmatically cool/relaxed connection
Workable understanding
4.5A bit like 4, in the sense of having insight into what they’re doing, but like 5 in that there is more suspicion and distance. Less trust; colder than the 4 relationship.
5
Unproductive if unhealthy
Sense of blind spot
Trepidation (at -5) of feeling cut out of the other’s network. They’re part of the network and you’re not.
+5 will look at -5 as a kind of maverick, exposing, unbalancing energy.
Similar to 6. Also has a bit of the 5 sense of unknown/blind spot.
6
Worldly connection, international, everything covered between you
Sense of fairness, neighbourliness, common will, not competitive, survival related
Strong, powerful connection
Encouragement to stretch to cover the +/-1 areas, can create a full circle of power
Huge difference, interesting combination – so far apart that you value each other’s views
Allies to count on
-1Thoroughly know where your relationship is
Strong, secure, knowledge-based exchange of information with the other regarding differences and similarities
Good use of energy
Quite a high energy relationship
Can be very intimate and intense
The inner and outer
distances
Any circumstance may be defined by the range of concerns
most relevant to it. Or, in a partnership the range between the people
concerned. For example, if 2 partners
are positioned at locations 2 & 5 then there is a range of 3 (5-2) and this
defines how close they are. However,
there is also the outer distance between them, in this case it is 9
(12-3). Dealings that refer to locations
between the partners (in this case locations 3 & 4) are usually shared concerns with a close
common view, with each partner contributing a unique outlook. However, issues that are outside this close
range (5-12, and 12-2) are more usually much closer to one partner than the
other, and therefore the nature of the involvement often varies more
widely. For example, in this case,
considering location 7, the partner at location 5 is much closer to 7 than the
partner at position 2.
